Fiorelli, latest summer steals...

Couldnt help but notice the funky new collection from Fiorelli as I walked past the winow of their Bluewater store today. There is a distinct Anya Hindmarch, woven look in some lovely colours. I think they are pretty solid designs for a lower price point of less than £100. Which is ideal for an impulse splurge for summer.

Its called the Ibiza collection and heres a look at whats on offer...

Fiorelli Ibiza bag £85

From my experience Fiorelli bags are great value and their collections seem to be more and more fashion focused with the look of a more detailed designer bag. They dont use real leather but this is reflected in the price and the synthetic leather look materials that they do use still have a tactile quality and dont look cheap, which is the main thing when looking at the high street handbag shops.

Oh and a tip if your after past season Fiorelli bags at a discounted price, TK Maxx are brilliant for Fiorelli, both on their website and in store so keep an eye out!

ROUGE! My Anya Hindmarch red Huxley Clutch...

Red is a classic vintage colour and makes for effortless glamour. Thats why I couldnt resist this Anya Hindmarch Red Huxley clutch in unusual woven leather, its a deep, rich red and feels devilishly decadent with its hand woven design and signature anya tassle hangs from the zip...

Anya Hindmarch Huxley clutch

The bag also has a long strap (Multi-tasking!) I plan on wearing mine with dark jeans to set the red off with a vintage feel. It costs a quite hefty £695, which is more than your standard price for a clutch from a luxury brand. A Mulberry clutch averages at £450 so really quite a high price tag and for true red lovers! There is alot of detailing though and the hand woven leather boots the price tag.

Amazing card compartments inside

Anya bags are set apart by her attention to detail. This one has a leather section inside to hold all your cards and has 'cards' embossed in gold, again the devil is in the detail with regards to price.

Heres a snapshot of red vintage glamour that drew me to the Huxley...

I will fly you to the moon and back....cosmic prints

Vivienne Westwood accessories are always gauranteed to provide an injection of punk unto your collection. I have a few bits myself, mailnly from her jewellery collection and her latest collection has caught my eye with the new Galaxy printed wallets, handbags and clothing. Its a quite subtle galaxy print in a way, the colours are shades of rust and blue which could compliment many wardrobes, heres a peek into viviennes galactic print...

Vivienne Westwood, Glaxy print cross body bag

And heres the item that caught my attention, its a ladies wallet in the galaxy print. Currently sold out it costs a reasonable £130, fingers crossed it will come back from space soon and into my handbag. The picture below is slightly muted in colour but still worth a peek...

Rihanna Geisha gangster! trend on the oriental horizon!

Rihanna is one bold fashion icon. For anyone that follows her on twitter she posts some really edgy photographs on there, and this being RiRi of course they can be kinda raunchy but so captivating and when I saw her Geisha look posted this week I was in awe...

The styling in these is knockout and is apparently for Rihannas forthcoming music video which should be amazing if these are anything to go by. The Geisha trend has been hovering for a few seasons. Last year H and M's sellout Versace collection had some stunning oriental prints I loved this corset in particular...

MAC have just unvelied a new collection of oriental make up which is inspired by East meets West and is described on the MAC website as  'A sensual colour collection created in collaboration with
Beijing-born fashion photographer, Chen Man, inspired by her infatuation with
love and water, yin and yang, pink and blue.' I had a look and if youre after an oriental inspired look there are some divine products.

Beautiful oriental satins are a cute way to add an easy twist to an outfit and are very easy to find online. On ebay there are so many sellers of oriental fashion. Traditional clutches like the one I found below sell for less tha a tenner...

Summer bags, vintage inspired sunshine!

This is one of my favourite Anya Hindmarch summer beach totes, I brought it last year and just love the retro feel, it has a soft leather base and the sides are canvas. Here are some classic Hollywood images which inspire this look...

Anya Hindmarch does summer totes particularly well and her latest SS12 collection is no exception.

Mulberry Alexa....her close up

This is from the Mulberry spring summer 2012 collection which is inspired by the great British seaside. So expect lots of classic ice cream colours, slapstick humour and kiss me quick hats (Maybe not literally but there is the odd 'oooooh' here and there)

The Alexa is the Alexa Chung inspired classic satchel which has been part of the core (classic) Mulberry bag collection since its launch a couple of years ago. Its a safe choice if you want a timeless style, it seems so encapsulate a relaxed, confident British fashion.

And heres my Foggy grey Alexa, its a gorgous colour, heres her beauty shots oooooh...

Some unusual celeb Birkins...all bow to greatness

This is such a cool customisation of the classic Hermes Birkin bag, the studs are a timeless rock look and add an edge to the elegant design. Its so inkeeping with Gagas style and total attention seeker. It would be interesting to see this syled with a softer look too. I love a classic, studded leather accessory. There are some lovely studded pumps on the high street at the moment.

Here are a couple of ideas of how to get this Gaga sexy Birkin style....

This is my Anya Hindmarch 'Patty' make up bag, its available in various types of leather and seasonal colours and costs around £195...

Kim Kardashians eye popping yellow Birkin is another statement version of the Hermes legend. The yellow looks perfect with Kims immaculate styling and I think the cool tone is a great contrasting clour, after all if you own this bag you want it to stand out! This would look amazing with a nude blazer or with other summer brights.

I really love Kims ultra bright bag, there are quite a few similar appearing in shops at the moment...

At the top end of the scale this Mulberry Holiday Bayswater in Lemon Sherbert is amazing. In the flesh its very bright indeed, in fact its a real highlighter colour! I think its a bold choice but if styled well is worth the investement for that Kardashian colour (or should I say Kolour as the Kardashians seem to say these days!) This comes in at an ice cream drooling £895, yummy...

Or there are lots of cheaper alternatives around which still add that summer glow...

This one is from ALDO and is only £36.

Handbag superstars coming through...

Here are some of my favourite images of iconic bags, or as they should be known bag superstars, as recognisable as their famous owners. In my coming posts I shall be delving further into some of these beauties. All images are from google.

Bonjour!

My first post, this blog is to record all my ideas on fashion and design, Im here to share my passion for beautiful, classic glamour and to bring a touch of gorgous design to all aspects of style and interiors. I also love the unusual and the somewhat bizzare so should be an ecclectic mix to get the creativity flowing...
